REBEL ON A MISSION
I stopped wishing for a lottery win to change my life.
I was raised on a council estate in South Bristol. In my world, money was tight, stress was the default setting, and wellness wasn’t something that was even discussed. Things like private healthcare or root-cause healing weren’t even in our vocabulary.
For over 18 years, I battled anxiety, depression, and a crushing sense of hopelessness. I was sick and tired of feeling like crap; only to be told by the mainstream system that the only answer was more medication or my local slimming club.
I signed up for an Audible trial and listened to a book that blew my mind. It ignited a fire in me for nutrition and exposed the truth about the food and pharmaceutical industries. For the first time in my life, I realised that my health was the one thing the ‘system’ couldn't take from me, if I was brave enough to reclaim it.
I went completely against the grain. I dove into the science of the gut-brain connection, neuroplasticity, and the deep shadow work required to heal generational trauma. I didn't want to just ‘manage’ my symptoms with a pill; I wanted to become the mother and wife my family deserved.
But then, I hit The Wall.
When I looked for the help I needed to heal my complex PTSD, and everything that came with it, all I saw was the massive gap between my reality and the ‘Wellness Industry’.
I spent hundreds of pounds, which I didn’t have, to break the cycle.
I saw the hidden, elite pricing. I experienced the burning shame of asking for a Universal Credit discount, only to find it was a mere fiver off!! Leaving me still unable to afford it and embarrassed for even asking.
This isn’t criticising practitioners; I’m a student practitioner myself, so I know the years of dedication and financial commitment it takes to qualify. But I also understand that the current system creates a wellness divide that leaves the 99% behind. As far as I’m concerned, if you have to choose between your mental health and topping up your gas meter, the system is completely broken.
When professional help is a luxury, people are forced to turn to ‘Doctor Google’, social media influencers, or AI for answers. While these tools have their place, they should never be the only option for someone in crisis. We shouldn't be forced to choose between unregulated internet advice or being ‘medicated and moved on’ by a GP system that is too stretched to find the root cause. You deserve a real human, a qualified practitioner, and a plan that actually fits your life.
That is why I’m building the bridge.
I launched Rebel Souls in early 2025. As a mother of six who is currently studying naturopathic nutrition, I know that mainstream wellness advice doesn't always work with no real support and when you’re juggling real-world problems in a busy household.
My mission is for Rebel Souls to become a conscious, loving collective of professionals and rebels ready for connection and real change; an authentic soul circle where healing is finally within reach, and where your history is your strength, not your shame.
If you’re a Ready Rebel, it’s time to stop surviving and start thriving!
